2014 is an important year for Leica. The brand turns 100 years and its famous series M turns 60. Because of this, they have decided to release a very special edition, an authentic recreation of the legendary M.

In these days, a digital camera without LCD screen and without an advanced menu of options is not common at all. However, this is how the recently launched M Edition 60 is built; a camera that only features basic yet essential options like speed, lens opening, sensibility and white balance. At first sight, the more complete the camera is, the better it is but this motto is starting to die out. Vintage style is booming more than ever and Leica doesn’t stay indifferent to this.

On this occasion, Leica has teamed up with world-renowned Audi to design the M60, a special edition that recover the pure essence of photography. Technically, it is based on the Leica M-P (type 240) but it looks like the most classical ones. It’s impossible to check the result of the pictures with this new but retro camera that will make you revive the feeling of surprise that we felt some decades ago. Not bad, right?

This piece of art will be available for 15.000€ and there will be only 600 numbered units. Just for the most exquisite pockets!

No doubt, this exclusive German brand has evolved a lot from its beginning in 1914 and it has become an iconic camera for photojournalism over the course of the years. The original Leica was the first compact camera with 35mm. Moreover, it was the first camera that fitted into the pocket (the sizes of the cameras at time were much bigger) and this was a revolution back then.
